The Space Between

Perspective

Some people are terrible at rest. Not because they don't need it. Because they can't do it without the voice in the back of their head saying they should be doing something else. You sit down to take a break and immediately start calculating what you're not getting done. So you half-rest. Scroll your phone. "Relax" while mentally running through tomorrow. And wonder why you're still tired. Here's the thing: rest that feels guilty isn't rest.

But what if there was something in between? Not grinding. Not doing nothing. Just a small moment where you process what's actually going on in your head. Something that feels like a break but leaves you clearer than before. Not productivity. Not rest. Just a conversation with yourself that you didn't know you needed.
